AfterSchool KidsClubs is an afterschool program at PS 116, a midtown Manhattan elementary school, dedicated to offering safe, fun, enriching activities after school, every day of the school year.

KidsClubs offers a wide range of age-appropriate activities that spark new interests for children, enriching their school day with fun experiences and chances to make new friends.

Instructors are a mix of classroom teachers and outside experts.

Three 10-week sessions of KidsClubs are offered every school year. On days during the school year that KidsClubs are not in session, a program called FunClubs is offered. Staffed by KidsClubs, FunClubs is available between each session and on NYC Board of Education-mandated half-days. KidsClubs and FunClubs ensure that working parents have a safe, secure and enjoyable extended care option every day of the school year.

About Us

Established in 1997 by PS 116 parents, KidsClubs is a not-for-profit organization that relies on tuition to support the program. Scholarships are available to families in need.

Art, music, sports, language, dance; and computer skills; plus curriculum support, are among the many afterschool activities offered.

Each club is designed to be a small-group experience taught by favorite instructors, encouraging children to feel at home at school by encouraging them to make friends outside of their own classrooms with other students of similar ages and interests.
